Environmental Health Specialist
Duties and Responsibilities:
The main responsibility of an Environmental Health Specialist is to make sure that an company is safe and clean. They check if any area is hazardous or contains any health risks. When they go check out an area they take samples of the area and test them. When the results come back that helps them decide if an area can be deemed safe.
Salary:
$82,000
Education:
The first step into becoming an environmental health specialist is graduating with a bachelor’s degree in the environmental health field. After that you need to have a 1-3 year experience in the environmental health field. Then you need to get a certified degree in the environmental health field of 4 years. After that you can go and get a Master’s degree in the Environmental Health field.
Demand for this profession:
The need for this profession is fairly high because the more companies of factories we have in our living area the more we need people to make sure they are safe for us. If there was no Environmental Health Specialists then we would be in danger and have a higher chance in developing health issues. It depends on the area you live in because is you live in an area where there is not a lot of factories then the demand will be lower.

Summary:
The Environmental Health Specialist is a career that I would not want to pursue. My main reason for not wanting to pursue this career is because if I have to go to an area that is hazardous before anyone has checked it out then I am at risk of getting health issues. My last reason I do not want to become one is because the area I live in contains a lot of factories and companies which means the more I am a risk just by doing my job.
