“You can’t be right by doing wrong; you can’t be wrong by doing right.”
Thomas S. Monson
Reflection:

What Mr.Monson means by this statement is that you can’t go wrong with choosing the right. On the other hand when you choose the wrong it is never right. An example of choosing the right is if you are in school and you see people cheating on tests, it is never wrong if you report it to the teacher. Also an example would be if you see a piece of trash on the floor, it is not wrong to stop what you’re doing and pick it up. Another example would be if you see someone struggling with anything, it is not wrong to offer help no matter if you get turned down. On the other hand an example of choosing the wrong is you deciding to look at the piece of trash and just walking past it. Also an example of choosing the wrong would be seeing people cheat on tests and not do anything about it. Lastly an example of doing the wrong is watching people struggle and not doing anything to help the when you can. When you  Choose The Wrong no positive outcomes will happen, only repercussions. However when Choose The Right you will receive praise and opportunities. There is never a wrong time to do the right. Doing the wrong is never a right thing to do.

“Enthusiasm makes the difference,”
Dr. Norman Vincent Peale
Reflection:

What this quote is trying to say is that no matter in what situation you're in by being enthusiastic the situation will be much better than before. If you are enthusiastic people will want to be around you because you do not bring sadness, but joy. When you are enthusiastic not only does it make you better but also the people around you. In my opinion the key to success is being enthusiastic. When you are enthusiastic to get a job employers will want to hire you because you will willing do what is asked and not be complaining. Also if you are enthusiastic about a class then you will achieve good grades because you want to learn. If you are bored the best thing to do is be enthusiastic. When you are enthusiastic you attract people. Being enthusiastic will bring you grand opportunities. When you are full of enthusiasm you will be a happy with yourself and will have no remorse.

“I wasn’t trying to leave a legacy. I was trying to do what was right.”
Dean Smith
Reflection:

Mr. Smith is trying to say that you shouldn’t do things because you want to be recognized as something great or that your better that everyone. No you should do things because they are the right things to do. This relates to us because we might be jealous of people so we do things to make ourselves look better. No matter how benevolent the action you accomplished is you shouldn’t do it out of vain. After all if you do good then good will come to you and you will achieve great things. By doing good not only will you be a good person but you will also feel great. Mr.Smith was not trying to prove that he was the best coach, he was just doing the good that should be done. As an outcome of that he became one of the best coaches and beat the record for most wins. So even though someone might be better than you you should not try to do things out of vain but just stick to doing good because it’s the right thing to do. If you do good people will be appreciative and loving towards you. Once you have done the right things not only will you feel good but time after you will leave a legacy. When you do good good will come to you, along with fortune and opportunities.

“Make your passion your profession.”
What is your passion and why it is a passion of yours?
My passion is cooking and baking. It is my passion because you can be creative and explore new ideas that everyone can eat and enjoy. Cooking and Baking lets you express yourself through food.
How can you make this passion become your profession?
I can make cooking and baking my profession by excelling how to make different food from different cultures. After you excel in making delectable food I can go to Culinary School, which will help me perfect my food and get my certified degree. Once I get my degree I can then become an Executive Chef and maybe even open my own restaurant which I will then turn into a chain that will be global.
What education is required?
In order to become a chef I must pursue a career in Culinary Arts. I can do that by first having Prior Learning. After that I have to get certified. Then I must acquire a Technical Diploma. After accomplishing that I must then get my Associate Degree. Finally I can go through with the last step which is achieving my Bachelor’s Degree.
What skills, talents, and attitudes are required?
In order to become a chef you need contain the skill at being able to cook and bake. You require the talent at criticising anyone’s food and your own then finding solutions as to how to make it better. Attitude wise I need to be able to brush off any problems I have faced the day before and continue with more enthusiasm than any of the days before.

Reflection:
I am willing to start a career in the Culinary Arts no matter what the location is. Another thing I am willing to do is become a Chef no matter how much I get paid because it is my passion and I will pursue it. Additionally I am willing to learn who to make food from different cultures no matter how hard or easy the task is. Lastly something I am willing to do is get the education that is required.

“Of all the work that is done or can be done for our country, the greatest is that of educating the BODY, the MIND, and above all the CHARACTER, giving spiritual and moral training to those who in a few years are themselves to decide the destinies of the nation.”
Theodore Roosevelt
Reflection:
What Mr.Roosevelt means by this quote is that we can teach everyone any ordinary thing such as how to multiply or how to tie your shoes. The most important thing that should be taught is how to educate the BODY, MIND, and SPIRIT. An example of how to educate the body is different foods we need to eat to keep our body healthy, which will help our bodies fight of disease. Another thing that can be taught on how to educate the body is what the amount of exercise we need to accomplish that will keep our bodies fit. On the other hand an example on how to educate the mind is to teach us to view things in different point of views. Also an example on how to educate the mind is teaching us that we are our own people and do not need to be like everyone else. Lastly and most importantly we need to be taught on how to educate a good character. If you do not have a good character then the doors of opportunity will not open up to you because people will think that you are a bad person. A way to educate the character is showing us how to respect other people and to treat them as equals. Additionally another way to educate the body character is showing us not to judge people just by their looks without knowing their story.

“Take responsibility for YOUR OWN body, mind, and spirit, for your own physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.”

Mr. C.S Haymore
Reflection:
What Mr. C.S Haymore is trying to tell us is that no one is going to take care of your body, mind, and spirit, if you don’t take the effort to take care of yourself. When you don’t take care of yourself you are responsible for the repercussions and you cannot blame anyone else. An example of this is if you fall down and scratch your knee it was your fault for not watching where you were going and cannot blame anyone else because it is your body and your are suppose to take care of it. Another example is if you let yourself fall into CTW you cannot blame anyone that was pressuring you because it’s your mind and no one can force you to do something if you do not want to. Also an example is that you were getting bullied and now you feel depressed well no matter how much you think it is the bully's fault it really isn’t because you are the one that forced your spirit to believe that and you have to be grateful because you are blessed and get to live another day. Lastly an example would be that you have developed a disease well it is truly your fault because you have neither been exercising or eating healthy food. By CTR you helping to take care of your body, mind, and spirit. After all no one will have the exact same body as you so you have to take of yourself because no one else can. When you CTW you not only harm your body but your mind and spirit as well because now you will be forced to do bad actions. So when you are hurt in any way possible there is no one to blame but yourself.

Student Success Statement
“Intelligence is not enough. Intelligence plus character, that is the goal of true education.”
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Reflection:
What Mr.King meant by this quote is that you can’t get as far in life without having both intelligence and a good character. For example you can get a job a well paying job because you're smart but can also get fired for lacking character. Another example is if you want to apply for a good school, it doesn’t matter how good your character is you will not be able to get in because you are lacking the intelligence. On the other hand you can succeed high in life by having both a good character and having intelligence. You do not have to be born with a great character or a high intelligence because both are things that you can develop and improve. Some ways you can improve your character is picking up after yourself, having good manners, and overall CTR. On the other hand ways you can improve your intelligence are studying, reviewing things you have already learned, and bringing yourself to challenge yourself at new material. The key to success is having both a great character and intelligence. To insure you have a great character you can CTR. Having both will bring you great opportunities.

“We need the courage to START and CONTINUE what we should do, and the courage to STOP what we shouldn’t do.”
Reflection:
This quote tells us that we should have the courage to go after what we want and not be afraid of the outcomes. It also tells us that we should have the courage to speak up when something bad is being done. An example of having courage and going after what you want is telling your parent that you want to obtain something that they think requires responsibility. Another example is having the courage to bring an item of clothing to school without worrying about how people may judge you. Then an example for having the courage to speak up when something wrong is being done is speaking up when you see a student bullying another student. Also an example is reporting any activity you think is suspicious to an adult. Lastly an example would be telling a teacher if you see students cheating on a test. Even though you may be worried about the outcome of what you do you should have the courage to do it no matter what your mind is telling you. In the end the actions you take will not affect the people around you, they will affect you. By CTR you will never have to worry about the repercussions of the decisions you make as they will only be good.
School Break Days
While on vacation I read a book called The House On Mango Street. Originally the book was assigned as extra credit for English but I found myself enjoying  it as I kept reading. On vacation for the first and second week I didn't really do anything productive. Then came the While we where on the second week of vacation I spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at my aunt's house. In my opinion I preferred Christmas Eve over the actual Christmas day. On Christmas Eve my cousins and I played a variety of different board games. We ate food and joked around with one another. Then on Christmas day it was chaotic in the morning. Everyone was rushing around cleaning and doing some last minuet rapping. After everyone one arrived the gifts were giving out along with songs. The part everyone dreaded the most was the cleaning that had to be done after. Once we were done cleaning we decide to play a game of  Monopoly, by we I mean 5 people. In the end me and my cousin Bryant were the only  ones in the game as everyone had quite. we both had owed most of the properties and had hotels all around. in the end I lost by $1,000 and we both ended with around $15,000. After that came New Years, which was spent about the same as Christmas Eve and Christmas. When it was the last 10 minutes of 2016 my cousin and I decided to take a picture for every minute that passed by.Lastly yesterday which was the last day before the break ended I went to Big Bear Lake with my family and friends. When it was the New Year everyone was celebrating. that was about how I spent my break.
