Reflection:
This quote means that the only way to learn how to do something is trying to practice that. For example the only way to learn how to ride a bike is riding a bike. Another example is if you want to learn how to cook you can only learn by cooking. In a way this means that if you fail at doing something you have keep trying and trying until you have learned. When we were all small we didn't know how to walk but we would try to stand upon our feet and fall yet we keep trying and trying until we finally took our first steps. If you fail it does not matter but what does matter is that you got back up and kept trying. After all if we make mistakes the important part is to learn from them and get better. We are all humans which means we are not perfect no matter how much we try so failure is normal. Before learning to do something there will be errors so there is no need to feel conscious if you can't do something right. When things get hard it is important to know that in the end you will achieve your goal. Lastly, I would like to say that the only way to achieve something great is by working hard.

  Emergency Medical Technician

Duties and Responsibilities:

The most important responsibility an EMT has is to answer the emergency phone if it is called. The EMT is responsible to make sure a person who is injured gets medical transportation. The EMT has to go through gruesome accidents everyday and make sure evidence is protected.

Salary:

Education:

The first step into becoming an EMT is receiving a high school diploma. After that you need to go to college and take courses on anatomy and physiology. Then you need four take four other levels of EMT training and get certified.

Demand for this profession:

The demand for this job is very high because everyday many people get in accidents and all of them need transportation to the hospital in order to save their life. Also when an EMT gets to the accident a person might be wounded so they will need medical help from the EMT. So that is why the demand is very high and much needed.

Reflection:

Now that I have researched the EMT I think it is not a job I would want to pursue. The reason I would not want to pursue this job is because I would not want to feel pressured while trying to save someone’s life, if they were to die I would feel the guilt on my shoulders. Living with guilt on my shoulders is not something I would be able to live with. Another reason I would not want to

become an EMT is because I don’t want to see all the bad things that go on in the world I call home.

“If your friends are choosing the wrong don’t let them keep you from choosing the right.”-Dayana Ortega

    

Reflection:

This quote means that if your friends are doing the wrong don’t follow them and just walk away. If you decide to follow them then you will find yourself in bad situations that you could’ve avoided. For example, if your friends invite you to a party and they are doing drugs and offer you some you should just reject it because it will cause repercussions later. Another example, is when you are at school and your friends offer you alcohol you should also reject it because it won’t do you any good. This quote is also related to peer pressure because bad friends will lead you to do bad things while your true friends will lead you away from them. If your friends want to do bad things and you want to do good then don’t let them change your mind because you choose to do good for a reason. By CTR you will be open to a world of opportunities and receive the good.  After all you shouldn’t let your friends choose your decisions for you because you are your own person. In the end the decisions you make will only affect you and no one else. Choosing the Right will never cause you any bad.

Ear Nose Throat Doctor

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Ear Nose throat doctor or (ENT) specializes in treatments that to the ear, nose, and throat. They also are in charge in finding any disease in the ear, nose, and throat. The ENT also can work on the head and neck. When you go to an ENT they will help you with any disorders in those areas.

Salary:

$369,790

Education:

The first step into becoming an ENT is going through medical school for 4 years. Some requirement are scoring high on the MCAT and to earn a high undergraduate GPA. Then you need to volunteer at a clinic to have experience. After that you need to complete a 3-5 year residency. The last step in getting certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology.

Demand for this profession:

The demand for the ENT is actually pretty high. For example, according to the internet %50 of visits to the physician visits are ENT problems. This means that a lot of people are having problems in these areas and need an ENT to help them keep better. That is why the demand is high.

Reflection:

After researching the ENT I think it is a job that I would be interested in. I feel that it would be interesting to see the different problems that you can have with the ear, nose, and throat. Even though it would be a hassle to complete the education it will be worth it.

Reflection: This quote means that if you are obedient then you can obtain happiness all the time and nothing can hold you back. For example, if you listen when your mom says to clean or do something then you will be happy because you are not going to get in trouble or get something taken away from you. Another example,  is if you do the work the teacher is asking you to do then they will not call you parents causing you to get in trouble.This quote will always be an example of our lives because if we do not listen to our bosses then we will get fired and not earn any money to help our families. Also, if you decide to Choose the Wrong then you will feel horrible and not feel happy at all, what you will feel is guilt. If you listen to what you are instructed to do then people will know you as responsible and trust you with important tasks. Not only do we feel good when we are obedient but we will feel accomplished with what we did. In order to make sure we are always obedient we need to make sure to always choose the right thing. After, reflecting on this quote I know that if we do what we are told to do then we will feel happiness and peace. Lastly, you should always try to be the best person that we can be.

Reflection: After researching the school services that are provided for me as a LAUSD student I learned many different things that I am able to obtain. Something I learned was that if you pay a $5 dollar fee you are able to see any of your school transcripts. Then, in athletic wise I learned that you are able to see any schools that are playing and when games are going to happen all the school year. Also, I learned that you can get transported to school from your home depending on your area and what school you go to. I think it is important to research what your school is able to offer you because if you even need a certain item you know you can obtain it.

Reflection: This statement means that is you deciding whether to do something good or bad you should always pick the right decision because you will feel good about it. For example, if you are trying to decide whether to clean up your mess or leave it to your mom to clean you should clean it up because your mom works hard to get a good life for you. No matter what problem you are in you should always make the righ decision because it is the only decision that will make you feel good. Another example is if you see a piece of trash on the floor and you are trying to decide whether to pick it up or not, you should pick it up because this is your community and is you don't clean up then no one else will. Choosing the right will never make you feel bad or feel guilty about your actions. If you pick the wrong decision then you will feel great for a few seconds but guilt will then take over and make you wish you would of choose the right. In addition, your decisions displey the type of person you are, if you make bad decisions then people will think you are a bad person but if you make the good decisions then people will know you are a good person. It is important that people know you are a good person because when you are trying to apply for a job then people will know you are reliable and will want to hire you. Then if you pick bad decisions then people will not want to hire you because they will know you are not responsible. That is why it is important to always pick the good decisions.

Dermatologist

Duties and Responsibilities:

As a dermatologist doctor they deal with the hair, nails, and skin along with any illnesses that might occur with them. The dermatologist deal with any disease from acne to skin cancer. The dermatologist also involves surgery. They can treat people from all ages, no one is too young or too old.

Salary;

Male: $300,00

Female: $262,500

Education:

The first step in becoming a dermatologist is graduating with a bachelor’s degree or higher. Then, you need to go to medical school and become a Medical Doctor. After, that you need to have an internship for one, which is considered training. Lastly, you need to complete a residency of 3 years minimum.

Demand for this Profession:

Over the years the demand for the dermatologist has increased highly compared to any other job. This means that the dermatologist job is increasing in demand as the years go by. I believe that it is increasing because the more our population is growing the more dermatologist we will need to treat us.

 

Summary:

After exploring the dermatologist and how they work I think it is a job that I would like to purse. The reason I would like to pursue this job is because I would like to know how to treat people all

over. I would also like the feeling of satisfaction when I know I helped someone and made them happier.

Geneticist Medicine

Duties and Responsibilities:

Even though there are many different meanings for geneticist I am going to be talking about the ones that specialize in medicine. The geneticist focuses on how genes with diseases can be inherited to children. They also focus on the the regular genes that can be passed to children, like what color their child’s eyes are going to be.

Salary:

$219,000

Education:

First you need to complete a 2 year doctoral degree in residency. Then you need to a 2 year fellowship program. Lastly you need to get approved by the ABMG.

Demand for this profession:

This profession is needed because if you were born with a disease then you would like to know the possibilities that your children would be able to get it. It is also needed because you would need a doctor to get special medication for genes that are inherited. Lastly for people who are just curious about the possibilities of their children getting genes that come from you.

Summary:

In conclusion the geneticist is a career I would definitely like to pursue. Even though the training will be hard I would go through it all just to become one. Sometimes you just know the passions you want to pursue, the geneticist is one of my passions I would want to strive in.

Reflection: This quote doesn't necessarliy have to relate to basketball, it can relate to anything relly. To me means that you can be the greatest person at a subject or player but if you are a bad person then there is no point in being well known. For exapmle, if you get goods grades in school but you cheat to do it then there is no point in getting rewared. This is like saying you are great at something but have to cheat, there is no point. If you are a CTR person and you choose the right then you don't need to cheat to become good at something. If you don't cheat it shows that you are a good person and have integrity for yourself. Another example is that you seem like a good person by doing your chores but really you pay your siblings to do them for you. From this I learned that the greatest person you can be is yourself and it doesnt matter if you are not the best at doing things. So if you are a CTR person all your life then you will get rewared for everything you do.

Reflection: This quote means that no matter how much money you have you can't buy everything. Even though people say moey van buy everything the truth is it can't, some things don't have a price. For example you can pay people to be your friend but deep downyou know you don't have a true friendship. Another example is that you can't buy the feeling you get when you do a good deed, you have to achieve it yourself. This quote also means thatt even though you might havea lot of money you won't feel good if you havea rotten heart. A nother thing you can't by is true happiness. After all, is there a point in having all the money in the world but not be happy? To be wealthy in heart you need to live your life being a CTR person doing the right and feeling good about it. In my opinion being wealthy in the heart is more important ten money.

Dental Assistant

Duties and Responsibilities:

As a dental assistant once of your jobs is to makes sure the patients is relaxed and comfortable in the dental chair. Another job they have is pulling out the patient’s dental record and giving it to the dentist.Sometimes dental assistants get the opportunity to work alongside the dentist. The dental assistance hand the dentists the tools needed to perform different tasks on the patient's teeth.

Salary:

Education:
Becoming a dental assistant doesn’t take very long to complete. Usually you can go to any college and get an certificate when they graduate from college. After this you can attend a dental school where you can get a dental degree in 9 months to 2 years.After that you need to get certified by the DANB. That is really all it takes to become a dental assistant.

Demand or Need for this profession:

The dental assistant is needed because every dentist needs a dental assistant to help while they are taking care of their patients. It also a high demand because everyone needs to get your teeth checked every 3 months and there is a high population of people in LA so there is aneed. Lastly I would like to say the dental assistant is needed.

Reflection:

A dental assistant is definitely a job I would like to look into. Even though they are just assistants they still do a lot and are important. Also the job doesn't take to long of a time to become. I would also like to see the wonders of how our teeth are affected if we don’t take care of them regularly.

Reflection: This quote has been around a long time ago. No matter how hard we try to escape or ignore this quote it will not go away. For example if you were to steal something you are't going to celebrate and recieve appraise. The only thing you would recieve is guilt. Only by doing good would you feel good. We have all done wrong before so all of us are witnesses of how guilty you feel afterwards. Even though you might feel good for a few seconds the guilt will eventually come and make you feel horrible. As people we know that we aren't suppose to do wrong to each other but do it anyway. In other words you have to CTR in order to feel good. Even though mistakes are bad, something good that comes out of it is that we can learn from them. 

Dentist

Duties and Responsibilities:

The dentist has one main focus, the teeth. As a dentist one of their responsibilities is checking for a disease in the teeth when patients have a check up. During a checkup the dentist takes x-rays on the teeth to make sure there are no disease.

Education:

The first step into becoming a dentist is obtaining a bachelor’s degree. After that the dental student needs to go to a dental school where they can learn more about teeth. After you complete the dental education you can then become a dentist.

Demand for this profession:

Everyone needs the dentist because it is important to keep our teeth healthy. As a dentist you have to treat your patients with care and make sure there are no disease forming. The dentist also needs the job to be able to uphold their family.

Reflection:

The dentist profession is not something I would like to take a job in. I would not like to become a dentist because it is not something I have a passion for. Also because teeth aren’t interesting and I wouldn’t want to know how the mouth works.

Chiropractor

Duties and Responsibilities:

A chiropractor helps with any pain in the spinal cord. During a visit to the chiropractor they work one on one with the patient and help relieve the pain without the use of drugs or surgery. They usually treat the entire family.

Salary:

Education:

There are 5 steps into becoming a chiropractor, the first step is graduating college with a bachelor's or master’s degree. After that you need to attend a chiropractor school and gain a degree as a doctor or chiropractor. Then you need to pass a state test on the field of a chiropractor. Next you need to get a license in the field you want. Lastly you can finally become a chiropractor.

Demand for this profession:

The people who need this are very common because many experience lower back pain. Also become a chiropractor gives you a chance to meet new people and their families. Lastly it also earns a high salary.

In my point of view a chiropractor is not something I would see myself doing. Also this job involves too much time for education. Although it does have a high salary it is not something I would enjoy doing.

Reflection: 
This statement is true no matter what you do or go. For example do a bad action like steal then you will feel bad. Another example is that if you complete a good action like clean up your trash then you will feel good the entire day. Behind the good action there is good karma, while behind the bad action there is guilt. If a bad action is done the only way to relieve yourself from that guilt is confessing and then completing a good action. This also reletes to being a CTR person because when you chose the right you feel good. On the other hand when you are a CTW person you feel bad and carry the guilt. Even though you carry guilt that doesn't mean you can't make up for your actions by correcting your mistakes. After all you chose the decisions that you want to take in your life. Always remember that it is never too late to Choose The Right.

Reflection: To me this quote means that if you are obident and follow the rules then you will have no reprecussions are able to live a free life. Being obedient not only lets you have freedom but it alows you to live a life with no restrictions. Sometimes being obident can be hard because you really want something or don't want to do something. For example if you are obidient to your parents then they will let you out whth you friends or get you what you want. When you are obidient it comes with rewards. Another is example is if you get good grades then your parents won't take away your phone and you will be free to use it as you please. If you are a CTR person then being obidient isn't as hard. Even though you have made bad decisions in the past you can always change them by being obidient the next time something is asked. If people know you are obidient then you will have more trust to go places and be free. In the end you always have a choice wether you want to ge the wrong way or the right way.                 

                                    911 Attack
       The 9/11 attack happened at 8:46 am flight 11 was hijacked and crashed into the north tower was hit first. Then at 9:03 am a second plane hit the south tower. A few time after at 9:59 am the south tower collapsed with the north tower was in fire and smoke. Finally at 10:28 the north tower collapsed as well. At 5:20 pm world trade 7 collased along with the twin towers.

                              I feel that this was a very tragic event. People were running away from the smoke trying to get away, most didnt make it. Many police officers and firefighters were dead or missing. There was people aive under the ruble trying waiting to be saved from the debris falling upon them. People ere trapped in their offices. To us they may just be a person but each and every one of them had a family. They could have had children, friends, or anyone waiting for them to come home worried that they didn't survive the attack. The people who survived the attack will have memories and images that they will never be able to forget. Even though I didn't know no one personally that was in the attake I feel terriable for the people with family who didn't survive. Every single person who was in the attack ment the world to someone. The people who survived are not the only ones who are affected but the families of the dead are also affected because they didn't expect for their loved ones to be gone to the world just for like that. The 9/11 attack is a memory that will haunt us all forever.

  Reflection: The quote that Thomas S. Monson  means that being obidence is the hardest thing that everyone faces every day. Even though sometimes we dont recognize that we are being obident we do it to obey our partents. Since the minute you wake up you face the test of being obidence. Sometimes obidence can be harder that anything in your life. The hardest decsions to make are the rigfht ones is a quote I once read.
