Student Success Statement
“You can’t be right by doing wrong; you can’t be wrong by doing right.”
Thomas S. Monson
Reflection:
What Mr.Monson means by this statement is that you can’t go wrong with choosing the right. On the other hand when you choose the wrong it is never right. An example of choosing the right is if you are in school and you see people cheating on tests, it is never wrong if you report it to the teacher. Also an example would be if you see a piece of trash on the floor, it is not wrong to stop what you’re doing and pick it up. Another example would be if you see someone struggling with anything, it is not wrong to offer help no matter if you get turned down. On the other hand an example of choosing the wrong is you deciding to look at the piece of trash and just walking past it. Also an example of choosing the wrong would be seeing people cheat on tests and not do anything about it. Lastly an example of doing the wrong is watching people struggle and not doing anything to help the when you can. When you Choose The Wrong no positive outcomes will happen, only repercussions. However when Choose The Right you will receive praise and opportunities. There is never a wrong time to do the right. Doing the wrong is never a right thing to do.
