LPN
(Licensed Practical Nurse)
Duties and Responsibilities:
The LPN is most likely the first to work with a patient. One of the first responsibilities as an LPN is pulling up the patient's medical history. Some other responsibilities the LPN has to follow through with are:
  • Giving the prescribed medicine from a physician.
  • Taking information suicha s blood pressure, weight, and temperature.
  • Take care of basic injuries, also including cleaning and bandaging injured areas.
  • Giving medical shots.
  • Entering information into the computer.
Salary:
$43,170
Education:
The first step into becoming an LPN is acquiring a high school diploma or GED. Then you need to complete and graduate from an LPN program (which are one year) . After that you need to have additional practice at a clinic.
Demand for this profession:
The demand for the LPN is high. The LPN take down medical information and help you treat basic injuries. Even though they are not doctors the LPN is an important job in the medical career. Every clinic wouldn’t be able to function properly without an LPN. Without the LPN no one would take down medical information and doctors wouldn’t be able to have your medical history to help cure you from any disease you might have.
Reflection:
Personally the LPN is definitely a career I would like to purse. I would like to pursue this career because they don’t have to deal with many pressure but are still a big help to both patients and Doctors. The LPN gets to cure their patients with small injuries but to the patients it is still helpful. The LPN also gets to give immunization patients and helps them prevent future disease.
