Student Success Statement
“Right is right, even if everyone is against it; and wrong is wrong, even if everyone is for it.”
William Penn
Reflection:
This quote means that no matter how many people are against doing the right you should still know it is wrong. It also tells us that no matter how many people choose to do bad you should choose to do right. An example is that everyone can be against finishing their classwork but we all know it is the right thing to do. Another example is that everyone would want to cheat on a test but with everyone cheating it would still be wrong. Also an example would be everyone could be against wearing uniform but no matter how many people don’t wear uniform it would still be wrong. In addition an example is everyone wanting to chew gum during class but it will be wong since it is against the school's rules and wouldn't be right. The message that is trying to get through is that you shouldn't base your actions on what everyone does, you should base them on what you believe is right. You were raised to be able to tell wrong from right. No matter how much people pressure you to do something they can not force you to accomplish wrong actions. If you choose to do right you will be rewarded but if you choose to do wrong there will be consequences.
