Student Success Statement
“I trust that my hard work will pay off.”
Tyler Haws
Reflection:

This statement is inspirational; and accurate. Only when you work hard for something will is be easy and you will become great at it. By working hard you are devoting yourself to become good at what you choose and making it your main goal. If you work hard in the present you will will grateful in the future. If you work hard on anything you set your mind to then you will easily succeed. Thi statement inspires me to work hard on my goals and succeed. If you do your best on any area then it will pay off in the future. An example could be if you want to get better at your cursive then you should practice it everyday and you will see improvement. Another example can be if you want to join a team but you aren’t good at it, them just practice everyday and you will be more than good enough at that sport. Lastly an example can be if you want to receive straight A’s, you can get them but the key is working hard towards them.

Student Success Statement
“True independence and freedom can only exist in doing what’s right.”
Brigham Young
Reflection
This quote informs us that we can only be free when we do what is right. If you choose to do what is wrong then you are confined and punished. By doing what is wrong your choices become limited and you are punished. However when you do what is right you are free to do as you please without anyone holding you back. If you are truly free them you can be trusted by the people around you and won’t be questioned about anything you choose to do. An example of being truly free is being able to go out with your friends and have fun. Another example of being truly free is staying out late without getting punished. The reason why you are able to do these things is because you can be trusted by your guardian without question. An example of choosing the wrong is staying after school serving detention. Another example of being confined is having your phone confiscated.  Here the reason why you are suffering is because you choose to make the wrong decision and are being punished. We should always remember that for every action we make there is a consequence whether good or bad. The choice is yours, whether you want to be free or if you want to be confined.

Student Success Statement
“They’re only truly great who are truly good.”
George Chapman
Reflection:

This quote shows us that in order to be a great person you must be good. If you are amazing or if you excel in an area you cannot be great if you have behavior problem or if you CTW. Without being good greatness can not exist. In order to be great you must first be good and then greatness will come along. Even though you might not be great in every area you will still be great if you have a good heart. An example of this statement is if you are the best player on the basketball team but you do drugs and skip class, you cannot be great become you were not good. Another example is if you are an A student but you disobey the rules, there is not greatness there either. If you are good then no one should influence you to be bad. Additionally if you are not considered great it won’t matter because being good is its own reward. By being good you receive great opportunities that will help you in the long run instead of the short run.

Becoming an Optician is a career I would definitely like to pursue. My main reason is because I personally do need glasses so by becoming one I can help people like myself. This is also a way I can give back to my community. Also I know I can make a great impact on someone’s life. I also find it fascinating to learn about the eye.

Student Success Statement
“Many think that the short term gain will be worth the long term pain, but it isn't. In addition, using steroids is cheating, and there is nothing worse in sports than a cheater. Don’t do it.”
George Mitchell
Reflection:
Even though this quote is directed towards sports it can be used as a reference in everyday life. This quote is telling us that if you cheat it will not be worth the guilt that you will carry as weights on your back for the rest of your life. No matter how bad you want the victory right now it will not be worth the guilt you will feel in the future. At the end of the day you want to be able to say whatever victory you accomplished was done out of your strengths and you didn't need to cheat to accomplish it. By cheating not only do you lose self respect but you also lose respect from others. For example if you really want to get a good grade a test so you cheat to do it, the guilt will eat you and make you confess to what you did. Another example would be if you want to win a sport game but you use steroids to do it then you fans will not longer adore in you or much less believe that you are capable of winning by your own strengths. Cheating is never the answer as all it brings is consequences. Cheating causes all the accomplishments you achieved yourself seem as though you cheated on them as well. So if you ever decide to cheat ask yourself ‘Is it really worth it?’.

Student Success Statement
“I won’t cheat.”
Dale Murphy
Reflection:
This quote basically shows us that if you make the decision to cheat all you will receive are repercussions. It doesn’t matter if the consequences come early or late they will come and will not be nice. Any decision that includes cheating is bad. In the end it is going to be your choice which decision you will take. Whatever come out of that decision will be no one’s  fault but yours, For example if you decide that cheating on a test is the only way to succeed in that area and decide to cheat, the consequence of failing will only go to you. Another example would be if you decide to be a thief and steal then you are the only one that is going to be in trouble. Lastly an example would be if you decide to plagiarize something then the one that will be sued is going to be you and only you. For every action you complete ,whether good or bad, there is always a consequence. Taking shortcuts to anything is never the right thing to do, no matter if it is the last choice you can make. By completing a shortcut you are throwing out all the good in you life and bringing in the bag. Once you do something bad you can never take take it back no matter how much you want to. No matter how much pressure or how much you want to prove yourself to anyone , cheating is never the answer. Once you cheat and people find out you are now branded as a bad person and everything good you did no longer matters. Cheating is unfair to everyone who is completing things honestly is not fair, Cheaters are never winners compared to people who do not cheat and are honest. Once you cheat you regret it for the rest of your life and feel guilty.
