Another job they have is pulling out the patient’s dental record and giving it to the dentist.Sometimes dental assistants get the opportunity to work alongside the dentist. The dental assistance hand the dentists the tools needed to perform different tasks on the patient's teeth.

Becoming a dental assistant doesn’t take very long to complete. Usually you can go to any college and get an certificate when they graduate from college. After this you can attend a dental school where you can get a dental degree in 9 months to 2 years.After that you need to get certified by the DANB. That is really all it takes to become a dental assistant.

Demand or Need for this profession:

The dental assistant is needed because every dentist needs a dental assistant to help while they are taking care of their patients. It also a high demand because everyone needs to get your teeth checked every 3 months and there is a high population of people in LA so there is aneed. Lastly I would like to say the dental assistant is needed.

Reflection:

A dental assistant is definitely a job I would like to look into. Even though they are just assistants they still do a lot and are important. Also the job doesn't take to long of a time to become. I would also like to see the wonders of how our teeth are affected if we don’t take care of them regularly.
